Revo Innovation, Tuned for the Street!

The Traxxas Rally VXL utilizes Revo's F-1 inspired, rocker-actuated suspension system which has been expertly engineered for 1/16 Gymkhana racing right down to the oil-filled, threaded-body GTR shocks and rally-tuned progressive-rate springs. The all-wheel drive system rides on full ball-bearings and delivers smooth efficient power through the Torque Control slipper clutch, planetary gear differentials, and Traxxas' proven telescoping u-joint drive shafts. The suspension and driveline are fully integrated into the compact chassis. Intricately molded as a single piece, the chassis balances strength, weight, function and style in an impressive achievement of packaging and performance optimization that could only come from Traxxas.
 

Race-Ready Speed

The Traxxas Rally VXL shreds the competition with class-leading speed and power. Right out of the box, the Rally thrills with 30+mph on the included 6-cell NiMH battery. Install an optional, second 6-cell battery to unleash the Velineon Brushless Power System's full fury, and the Rally jumps to over 50mph. That kind of blacktop-searing speed is usually reserved for expensive LiPo power, but the Rally reaches its full performance potential with affordable, proven-safe NiMH packs. Rally VXL includes the Traxxas TQ 2.4GHz High Output radio system with Traxxas Link. This new system offers the unbeatable convenience of "no channels, no crystals" 2.4Ghz technology, and the long-range security of a high-output signal but that's just the beginning. The new, patent-pending Traxxas Link technology stores settings for up to 20 Traxxas Link-enabled models, with no naming or "model memory" settings required. Just power up the transmitter and the model you want to drive, and the settings for that model are dialed in immediately! The new TQ 2.4GHz High Output radio is also fully adjustable; steering and throttle end points can be set precisely, and the Multi-Function knob can be programmed to control Steering Sensitivity (Expo), Throttle Sensitivity (Expo), Steering Percentage (Dual Rate), Braking Percentage (Dual Rate), or Throttle Trim.

 

Velineon Brushless Power

Built specifically for Traxxas 1/16 scale models, the VXL-3m speed control and Velineon 380 motor represent the latest in brushless technology. Fully LiPo compatible with low-voltage detection for 2S and 3S packs and rated for 6-12 NiMH cells, this potent, powerful combo gives the Rally precise throttle control and blistering top speed. Patent-pending Training Mode lets new drivers hone their skills at 50% throttle. This allows young or new drivers to safely develop their control skills before unleashing 50+mph speed with the touch of the EZ-Set button. Big speed requires big horsepower, so the Rally carries the largest motor in the "mini" category. The Velineon 380 features high-speed ball bearings, Sintered rotor, Neodymium magnets, and Gold plated 3.5mm connectors. It all adds up to 50,000 rpm of pure power and track-searing speed!

Rally-Tuned, F1-Inspired Suspension

The Rally VXL's innovative linkage-based suspension geometry increases spring and damping rates in proportion to cornering forces for perfectly balanced handling. The design is competition-proven by the 8-time National Champion Revo, and is specially configured for on-road action with new stiffer springs and piston specs for firmer damping and roll-resistance. The laydown shocks also lower the Rally's center of gravity for lightning-quick turning response.

 

Oil-Filled GTR Shocks

Specially tuned for gymkhana rally style driving, the Rally's super-smooth oil-filled shocks maintain control through extreme maneuvers. Threaded spring collars allow quick and accurate pre-load adjusent, and the shock's spring and damping rates have been carefully chosen specifically for the Rally.
 

 

Officially Licensed BFGoodrich Rally Tires

The unique cross-hatch tread pattern that has carried so many rally racers to victory has been perfectly duplicated for the Traxxas Rally, complete with the distinctive BFGoodrich logo on the sidewall. For authentic rally oversteer, the tires are molded in a specially formulated compound that delivers the perfect blend of slip and grip to drift through turns and shred the straights. The tires are factory-glued to new split-spoke rims with 12mm hexes that give the Rally full compatibility with a wide array of aftermarket rim and tire combinations.

Traxxas introduces the next generation of 2.4GHz radio system performance and it's available now with the Traxxas Rally VXL. The new Traxxas TQ 2.4GHz computerized High Output radio systems are equipped with superior Direct Sequence Spread-Spectrum (DSSS) technology, fully programmable features, and the convenience of patent-pending Traxxas Link automatic model recognition. Forget about crystals and frequency conflicts! The transmitter's easy-to-use design provides the instant, worry-free, turn-it-on-and-go driving fun you expect from Traxxas, while also delivering a full compliment of pro-level tuning features for those who wish to explore the expanded tuning possibilities. The Multi-Function knob on the face of the transmitter can be programmed to control a variety of functions such as steering exponential, steering and braking dual rate, and throttle trim. Access is through a simple menu tree controlled by a two-button interface. Other tuning options include end point adjusent, servo reversing, and sub trim adjusent. Top-level performance is what you expect from Traxxas, so the new TQ 2.4GHz High Output pumps out a strong, clear signal for optimum range. The 13ms frame rate and near zero latency results in instant steering and throttle response along with precise, smooth control.

The exclusive Traxxas Link automatic model recognition software is a breakthrough in "model memory" that makes it easier than ever to enjoy multiple Traxxas Link enabled models without juggling transmitters or scrolling through complex menus searching for model names. Each time the transmitter is bound to a new receiver, it saves that receiver in its memory, along with all the model settings assigned to that receiver. The next time that transmitter and any previously bound receiver (up to 20!) are switched on, the transmitter automatically recalls the settings for that receiver. Just power up the transmitter and the model you want to drive, and the settings for that model are dialed in immediately! Up to 20 Traxxas Link enabled receivers and 20 Traxxas TQ 2.4GHz High Output transmitters can be cross bound together making it possible to grab ANY transmitter and ANY vehicle from the group, switch them on, and start driving. It's perfect for when you have lots of vehicles you want to drive but don't want to have to keep up with which transmitter belongs to which model. Traxxas Link does it for you, seamlessly behind the scenes.

  5-channel Micro Receiver with Fail-Safe Security

The TQ 2.4GHz High Output's micro receiver fits easily into any vehicle, and features dual channel-1 outputs for easy installation in vehicles with dual steering servos no Y-harness necessary! The integrated LINK button makes it fast and easy to bind the receiver, and the two-color LED indicates power-on and bind status for fool-proof control and convenience. Traxxas Link allows the receiver to recognize up to twenty TQ 2.4Ghz Traxxas Link enabled transmitters just switch on and drive. In the event of signal loss due to an accidental switch-off or depleted batteries, the receiver will automatically return the throttle to neutral and hold the last commanded steering position. The Fail Safe programming is built-in and does not need to be set or activated.

Rally VXL features pivot-ball suspension for smooth suspension articulation and easy adjusent. Rubber-sealed ball bearings ward off dirt and debris as they increase precision and reduce friction, and the oversized 8x12mm inboard bearings maximize durability. For extra security, the heavy-duty axle carriers are designed so the universal-joint axles' crosspins are captured by the inner bearings another example of Traxxas' attention to every detail.
