We built the E-Revo for 6-cell LiPo and brushless power right from the start. For other companies, brushless-ready means just making some nominal provisions for battery and motor installation and letting the aftermarket develop the upgrades necessary to make it survive. Not Traxxas. We heard the call for more power so E-Revo was tested tough for durability with brutal 6S LiPo power and intense custom-wound brushless motors. For the uninitiated, this extreme 65+mph motor and battery combination is ordinarily a predictable recipe for a box full of twisted and mangled parts. Not so with the E-Revo Brushless Edition. E-Revo's driveline has been engineered to endure the kind of horsepower and punishment that's possible with today's motor and battery technology. It looks factory because it is factory, complete with a separate motor plate for clean, low-slung single motor installation. Castle Creations Mamba Monster Brushless System

Built specifically to handle the rigors of large, power-hungry trucks, the Mamba Monster speed control is ready for 6S LiPo power with its massive 6.5mm gold-plated connectors, high-efficiency heatsink, integrated cooling fan and heavy-duty components. The speed control sends its power pulses to a Castle 2200Kv 75mm motor, designed specially for maximum performance and reliability with 6S LiPo power in torque-hungry applications. The aluminum motor can is machined to act as a massive heatsink, high-grade bearings deliver maximum efficiency, and high-strength Neodymium magnets give E-Revo Brushless Edition outrageous torque. To resist the twist, a beefy 5mm shaft transfers power to Brushless-Ready transmission.­Larger pinion gear/smaller spur gear combinations are for high-speed running on hard, smooth surfaces only.

Sealed Watertight Receiver Box

E-Revo's receiver is fully enclosed for protection from the elements. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a special watertight seal, and a custom blue O-ring seals the receiver box to protect the receiver from water. The receiver can be removed for service and aftermarket receivers can be installed without losing the sealing properties of the box. Patent pending.

 

 

Low-CG Chassis Design

Engineered by Traxxas, the ground-breaking molded E-Revo chassis sets a new benchmark for electric monster truck looks and performance. The E-Revo chassis combines art and function to deliver a lightweight, integrated, and rigid platform that maximizes strength and reduces weight. Scalable battery compartments accept a variety of NiMH and LiPo configurations to unlock E-Revo Brushless edition's power potential. By combining the battery compartments with the chassis design, the battery packs can sit low and close to the center of the truck, plus valuable chassis surface is freed up to accommodate the electronics for a clean layout. This keeps the center of gravity (CG) as low as possible and increases side-to-side agility by keeping most of the weight close to the center.

Battery Compartment Vents

Resembling the exhaust ducts of a turbine powered jet, the futuristic battery vents are securely mounted on the chassis. In addition to offering entrance and exit cooling, the oversized openings incorporate latches that insert into the battery door clasps. The battery compartment vents symbolize the sleek and high-tech image that places E-Revo in a class of its own.
 

Quick Release Battery Doors

The futuristic chassis design incorporates enclosed battery compartments into the sides of the chassis for an ultra-clean look even with the battery packs installed. Innovative quick release battery doors mount directly to the chassis, so there are no clips or hold downs to lose during battery swaps. The doors pivot down using a hinged design and dual clasps secure the tops of the battery doors for impact-proof security. To open the battery doors depress the latches and pull on the battery door tabs. To close the doors simply press on the door until the latches snap into place.

Adjustable Battery Compartments

Keyed, adjustable L-braces located inside the battery compartments allow the battery packs to be positioned in multiple incremental positions from front to rear for precise weight bias tuning. A top mounted, spring loaded clip holds battery packs securely at the lowest point to keep the CG as low as possible.


Dual-Servo Steering System

E-Revo takes a total system approach to eliminating the slow, mushy steering response typical on other monster trucks. Each servo is rated for 125 oz.-in. of torque, giving E-Revo a total of 250 oz.-in. of tire-turning twist to keep you in command no matter how tough the conditions.

5-channel Micro Receiver with Fail-Safe Security

The TQi 2.4GHz micro receiver fits easily into any vehicle, and features dual channel-1 outputs for easy installation in vehicles with dual steering servos—no Y-harness necessary! The integrated LINK button makes it fast and easy to bind the receiver, and the two-color LED indicates power-on and bind status for fool-proof control and convenience. Traxxas Link Model Memory allows the receiver to recognize up to thirty TQi 2.4Ghz Traxxas Link enabled transmitters—just switch on and drive. In the event of signal loss due to an accidental switch-off or depleted batteries, the receiver will automatically return the throttle to neutral and hold the last commanded steering position. The Fail Safe programming is built-in and does not need to be set or activated. Three telemetry ports are incorporated in the 5-channel receiver to allow real-time data to be transmitted from your Traxxas model to the TQi transmitter.
 

Factory Installed and Programmed Castle Creations Mamba Monster Electronic Speed Control System

The Model configuration settings provide a beautifully simple, visual interface to fine tune servo adjustments such as sub-trims, endpoints, and servo reversing. Choose your servo by touching the channel icon. Model Setups can be customized to adjust for vehicle modifications such as changing the pinion gear or installing different tires. Just select the modifications from the list. Traxxas Link also gives you instant access to Training Mode, and even includes an adjustment to set how fast the model can drive in Training Mode. It's perfect when you want to quickly and easily share your vehicle with a driver that is not yet ready to experience the full top speed your vehicle is capable of.

Traxxas Link simplifies organizing your collection of vehicles. The TQi radio system automatically keeps track of what vehicles it has bound to and what settings were used for each. Traxxas Link provides a visual interface to see the transmitter's model history, name the models, customize their settings, attach profiles, and lock them into memory. Authentic NHRA-style Drag Racing Competition With Traxxas Link and the DTS-1 Drag Timing System

Traxxas Link makes it simple to select the DTS-1's Staging and Tree modes and select one or both lanes. Tap the name fields to input each driver and Dial-In times for bracket racing. Touch Start Race and DTS-1 signals the drivers to enter the staging beams. It all happens right from your TQi transmitter with the easy-to-use Traxxas Link interface.

The DTS-1 captures the data from each race with millisecond accuracy for display in the Traxxas Link App. Race winner, Elapsed Time, and MPH are shown with digital precision. Share and Comment buttons make it easy to send results to friends, or attach comments to the results. Touch Show Timeslip and Traxxas Link reveals even more race data. 

The Traxxas Link timeslip display replicates the paper timeslip you would collect at the "ET shack" after a run on a full-size drag strip. Elapsed time (ET), trap speed (MPH), Reaction Time (RT) and dial-in time (if used) are displayed along with the margin of victory. Driver name, lane choice, and race date are shown beneath the customizable track name. Traxxas Link and DTS-1 make it easy to organize and run exciting, competitive drag races quickly and easily in your driveway with friends or at the hobby store with a full field of competitors.  The Traxxas Link App with DTS-1 Support is now available on the App Store. 

DTS-1 Setup and Diagnostics

Select Tree Mode (Spotsman or Pro) and Staging Mode (Pro, EZ. Hand), and activate Practice or Bracket racing mode with a touch. Pre-programmed distances for scale quarter-mile racing can be selected, or you can input your own custom distance.

Customize your DTS-1 with advanced settings that allow you to alter the amount of time DTS-1 allows for each staging mode, race timeout, even how long the screen displays results after each race. Traxxas Link makes it easy to set up the DTS-1 to race your way.

Traxxas Link's diagnostic screen confirms beam alignment, shows battery life in each console, displays laser temperature and even lets you know if the optional cooling fans are running. Troubleshooting is done for you, no guesswork involved. 

Device Requirements

Traxxas Link is designed for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPod touch 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generations. For full functionality, Traxxas Link requires a Traxxas TQi transmitter with Docking Base and a TQi receiver installed in the model.
